Talking About the Movies

In your last post to this blog, you wrote about why you really enjoyed a particular movie. Many of you used excellent detail and examples to explain your choice vividly. Now it's time to check out your classmates' reviews.

1. Browse through the posts from the last assignment: Establishing Your Voice: Movies.

2. Find at least three people who wrote about movies that sound good and leave them a comment that tells them why their post caught your attention. (Remember, you will be graded on the content and quality of your comments!)

3. Post a comment to this blog telling me which three people you commented and why. Remember, this is a 25 point comment, so make your reasons specific... and proofread.

Who knows? If you find some good picks, you might even rent a video this weekend!

I chose Bryanna, Kaila, and Nichole's movies because they all had really in depth and well thought out reasons for enjoying them. I enjoyed how Nichole related to the movie and explained to us what kind of people would enjoy the movie.
I chose Kaila's movie because I love the Wizard of Oz, and she told us why Scarecrow was her favorite character.
Finally, I chose Bryanna's movie, because Evan Almighty is pretty much hilarious. I have to agree that in some points you're laughing so hard you cry. I adore funny movies, especially funny movies with Steve Carrell.

I picked Kaila's, Emily's, and Giacinto's movie posts.

Kaila picked The Wizard of Oz, which is definitely one of the best movies ever made. The art, the acting, just... Agh, it's a classic. It's wonderful.

Emily's favorite movie, Wall-E, is one of the best movies of the 20th century. No doubt about it. It's got a moral, it's a love story, it's an adventure. It's everything a good movie should be.

A Goofy Movie was Giacinto's pick. This movie always makes me feel really awkward when I watch it, which I guess is from me feeling bad for Max. Either way, it's a movie that makes me feel something, which is great! :D

I commented on Bryanna, Nichole, and Allison's blog because all of they're movies sounded really good.
I've seen Evan Almighty and loved it. I love that type of movie.
Nichole related herself to her movie really well and the way she described it made me want to see it.
Finally, I chose Allison's because it seems pretty funny and is definitely a movie I'd like to see.

I chose to comment Giacinto's, jose's, and Bryanna's movies. Giacinto wrote about A Goofy Movie and that movie is just all around great. It's a childhood classic for me. Jose wrote about Accepted. I've seen this movie a few times and I enjoy it because, it always makes me laugh. Bryanna wrote about Bruce Almighty. It's a pretty funny movie, but Steve Carrell is one of my favorite actors. The guy is just plain hilarious.

I commented Tage, Emily, and Giacinto. I chose Tage because I think The Pursuit Of Happiness is a really good movie. That movie shows a good relationship between a father and son and shows what a parent would do to help their child. I chose Emily because I never saw the movie Wall-E and her post made me want to watch the movie. When she wrote that the movie is about a robot trying to get with another robot it made me think the movie would be a really cute movie to watch. I chose Giacinto's because The Goofy Movie is one of my favorite movies. To this day I still sing along to the songs in the movie. I agree with him how everyone should watch the movie because it is good for people of all ages.

I commented on Jose's and Tom's movies, only because they were the only ones that really appealed to me. I saw both of those movies, and they were really funny. Just talking to your friends about the movies is fun, just recollecting on the funny parts of those movies. Both of those movies are really hilarious, and have wonderful plot lines to them both. Sometimes I wish i could live a life like those in the movies. That would be great.

I commented on Bryanna,Tom and Tage. Bryanna's was Evan Almighty which I have seen and it was good. So, I agree with her comment how the movie was really funny. I really like funny movies which is why Tom's appealed to me. Im not a fan of crying during movies I laie to laugh. I mean, sad movies are good sometimes but not all the time.Tage's favorite movie was Pursuit of Happyness that movie looks so good and it got really good reviews. I have wanted to see it so bad but never got to the movies to see it. So, hopefully I will soon.

I picked Emily's, Kaila's, and Pete's choice. I chose Emily because I really enjoyed wall-e. The movies story and the lesson really got to me and it helped be be "greener". I also chose Kaila because The Wizard Of Oz is such a classic. Plus, I love the song "If I Only Had A Brain". Finally, I chose Pete because I haven't seen Charlie Bartlett and it sounds very interesting. It also fits one of my favorite genres.

I chos Tage, Tom, and Alison because I really enjoyed how they explained their movies. I really enjoyed the way Alison started her comment about her movie because it made me more interested in seeing it. I picked Tage because she described the movie The Pursuit of Happiness really well. I have never seen it but her comment made me want to. I also picked Tom because he picked Super troopers which i have never seen. I liked how he said it is a pee-your-pants funny movie. I thought that was a funny way to describe it. Now I have to see it.

I was pretty biased this time around in my comments, I commented on people's blogs based on how much I liked the movies they posted about. I commented on Tage's, Michelle's, and Jose's because I absolutely love The Pursuit of Happiness, Accepted, and Across the Universe. Accepted being my favorite, I love a feel good comedy, I love to laugh and I love a happy ending. But I do love a good drama, like The Pursuit of Happiness, and Across the Universe. And who can beat a soundtrack comprised entirely of Beatles tunes? Not I! I am an avid movie fan, and these three are among my favorites.

Cassie's favorite movie was thh Notebook. This movie is adorable and very touching. I totally agreed with everything she said. Emily chose Wall-E. Wall-E has to be the cutiest movie ever! The little robot that plays Wall-E in this movie is way to cute.
